Dear Parents and Guardians,
The 3rd Term has come to a successful end. We give God all the glory for His abundant mercies and blessings over our school community here in Imo State. We deeply value and appreciate the immense support we enjoyed from our parents throughout this school year. We also commend our students for their outstanding display of academic excellence, talent, and high level of royal discipline in all tasks set before them. We pray that the Almighty God will continue to take the Amechi Royal family from glory to glory and continually provide for us all.
Although the school year is over, it is vital for students to keep up with their studies. Parents are strongly encouraged to engage their children in productive academic activities during the long vacation to avoid learning loss.

External Examinations Update
1. WASSCE & NECO SSCE (Senior Secondary)
The NECO SSCE is currently underway and will be concluded soon, while we await the official release of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results. Consequently, our outgoing SS3 (Year 12) students will remain on campus until the conclusion of their final papers. Their graduation prom night is scheduled for Friday, followed by their official departure for home on Saturday morning.

2. Junior Secondary (Basic 9 / JSS3) External Examinations
Our Basic 9 students have successfully completed their National Examinations Council (NECO) BECE papers, as well as the State BECE. All results for these junior secondary transition examinations are currently being awaited. We remain confident in an outstanding harvest of distinctions.

3. JAMB (UTME) Performance
The results of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME have been released, and we are proud of our students’ performance. Out of the students who sat for the examination, an overwhelming majority scored well above the national average, with our highest-scoring student hitting an exceptional mark of 293.

Scores between 201 – 293: 41 Students
Scores below 200: 8 Students

With the minimum national cut-off mark set at 140 by JAMB, Amechi Royal International College achieved a 100% pass rate. We will continue to push our academic boundaries because for us, the sky is just our starting point.

Important Resumption & Boarding Guidelines
Extension Classes (Compulsory for Outgoing Classes)
Our incoming SS3 (Year 12) students are expected to return to the school boarding house for compulsory academic extension classes. These classes are designed to put finishing touches on their intensive preparations for upcoming external terminal examinations. Registration for external GCE or SSCE outside the school framework remains strictly prohibited.

Required Resumption Materials
Upon resumption, all Basic 9 and SS3 students must submit one ream of A4 photocopy paper. Additionally, every returning student across all arms must come back with a complete set of clean school notebooks.

Supplementary Entrance Examinations
Supplementary entrance examinations into Basic 7, Basic 8 (JSS1, JSS2), and Senior Secondary (SS1) will take place on Saturday, 3rd September. For parents seeking urgent enrollment before this date, special arrangements can be made for candidates to take the entrance examination earlier, either on-site at our campus or via our online testing portal.

Grooming, Haircuts, & Hairstyles

Boys: Must return with a neat, low-cut, even haircut.
Girls: Must have neatly woven hair matching the exact style announced before vacation. No hair extensions, attachments, or unnatural hair dyes are permitted.
Note: Strict adherence is advised. Students with non-compliant grooming will be turned back at the school gate.

Approved Footwear
Students must resume with exactly:
Two (2) pairs of black, low-heeled leather school shoes.
Two (2) pairs of black or brown trekkers/sandals for casual wear.
Footwear compliance will be checked thoroughly at the administrative gate on resumption day.

Airport Pick-Up and Drop-Off Services
For our long-distance boarding students, airport shuttle logistics from Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport (Owerri) attract a token fee of Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000) only to cover logistics. Parents must book flights landing or departing between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. The school will not be held responsible for logistics for flights booked outside this designated timeframe.

Approved Boarding House Provisions
To maintain equality and health standards, only the following provision items are permitted. Any unlisted item will be confiscated as contraband:

Two (2) 400g cans of powdered milk
Two (2) 400g cans of cocoa beverage
Two (2) 500g packs of cereals
One (1) packet of cube sugar
One (1) Standard Mathematical Set
One (1) Non-programmable Scientific Calculator
Boys only: 6 pairs of standard white socks (no ankle socks) and 6 plain white short-sleeve singlets.

Sporting Gear & Trainers
The upcoming first term is our designated sporting term. It is mandatory for all students to resume with solid white, solid black, or simple black-and-white trainers/sneakers. Brightly coloured or multi-coloured shoes are prohibited and will be confiscated upon arrival.

School Policies & Logistics## Official Student Release Policy
We have noticed an inconvenient trend of parents requesting the mid-term release of their children for casual family engagements. This disrupts classroom learning flows and affects student performance. Moving forward, the school will no longer release students during active school periods except in verified medical or extraneous emergencies. Please plan all family events around the official school calendar.

Holiday Assignments
Comprehensive holiday assignments designed to cover at least four weeks of the vacation will be deployed digitally next week for students in Basic 8, Basic 9, and SS2 classes.

Educational Field Trips
We are excited to announce that both local and international educational field trips are being integrated into the upcoming academic session. We will update you with itineraries, learning goals, and financial implications as plans unfold.

School Fees Clearance
We implore parents with outstanding balances to clear them immediately. No student will be allowed past the gates or into classrooms without the explicit presentation of physical or digital evidence of full payment. The school relies on these fees to meet its operational and structural obligations to ensure your children receive a premium education.
